Notte Illuminata

München - Philharmonie am Gasteig
Berlin - Philharmonie
Munich, January 7:

It was absolutely phantastic, marvellous, sensational...
this Notte Illuminata in Munich - one of the best concerts I have seen ever with Andrea.
His voice sounded great, full of sweetness and emotions, but also full of power.

I guess he was very nervious at the beginning, but the audience wellcomed him with warm and long applause, and already after the second aria (La speme di consoli) there came the first Bravos, and more and more this special little smile appeared on Andrea`s face...

The first part of the concert included arias and Lieder in Italian, English and German, the second part French arias from Gounod and Fauré.
About the details of the program some words later, because I am only some hours at home before I start to the next concert in Berlin tomorrow morning!

As encores he sang "La donna è mobile" and - pure madness! - "Pour mon ame" from Donizetti`s "La Fille du Regiment" with the 9 high C`s - breathtaking!

The audience, which normally in Germany is much critical and reserved, celebrated Andrea with strong and long applause and Bravos!

Again it was not allowed to take photos, instead of that there was an autograph session after the concert in the lobby of the Philharmonie - a very nice gesture because I guess Andrea was exhausted after this ambitious program.

I am very much looking forward for the next performance tomorrow.....
and at this point I would like to say to Andrea:

Notte Illuminata - Das Konzert in der "Berliner Philharmonie"
------
PROLOG
------
------
DAS PROGRAMM; TEIL I
------
"Ombra Mai Fu"...
"Where E'er You Walk"...
"SOUND AND ALARM"...
"DIMMI, BEN MIO CHE M'AMI"... Will nur sagen "Con un sorriso solo, [...] (lui) mi (apre) il paradiso"...
"L'AMANTE IMPAZIENTE (ARIETTA BUFFA)"...
"BEATO QUEI CHE FIDO AMOR"...
Dann folgten die mélodies "LA LUNE BLANCHE", "LE SECRET", "MANDOLINES", "HYMNE A LA NUIT", "A LA MADONE", "INVICATION" und "REINE DU MATIN"...
Der Maestro schenkte uns drei Zugaben... "LA DONNA È MOBILE", "'A VUCCHELLA" e "POUR MON AME".

EPILOG

In Liebe,

EPILOG II

Notte Illuminata – The Concert at the "Berliner Philharmonie"
------
PROLOGUE
------
Going to Berlin, I wrote a little in the forum and I remember that Francesca told me, when I wrote that I was in the train, " Le train qui t'emmène vers le paradis ?" and I must say, YES! For me, it was heaven on earth where, unfortunately, I spent a few minutes - almost an hour - full of joy and feelings that are unknown to me, with tears, smiles...
All began with a call from Holly ... She told me that a friend of hers who wanted to go with her to the concert in Berlin can no longer go there and that she would offer me the ticket if I wanted / could go there...
In Berlin, we went to the Berliner Philharmonie where we bought books and posters of "Notte Illuminata". We sat in the second row and the emotions I had, cut off my breath...
Then, he finally appeared ... We all applauded and the magic began...
------
THE PROGRAMME; PART I
------
"OMBRA MAI FU"... A canzone that we all know well. One of the songs that we heard so often sung by the Maestro, but... This time it was deeper, more magical, more pure... Listening to the Maestro’s voice, accompanied only by the sounds of the piano, I could not do anything against the tears that ran down my face. Listening to this canzone, I thought about the fondazione Francesca Rava and the concert in Milan... I also thought about the emergency call for Haiti "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubv_YLO0HCg”... What a pain I felt in my heart, what a faith that had itself felt in this marvellous, divine voice...
"LA SPEME TI CONSOLI”... An already known canzone from the official site on YouTube that made my heart dance with joy, delight, admiration for the man, the voice who can change the emotions in others in a few moments...
"WHERE E'ER YOU WALK"... I was happy to listen to it at this time because this song made me discover the ground under my feet - even if I still felt to be in paradise...
"SOUND AND ALARM”... Singing this song, the Maestro gave me courage - now I thought that I’ll not be ashamed no more, and if I want to cry, I’ll do...
"DIMMI; BEN MIO CHE M’AMI”... Just want to say "Con un sorriso solo, [...] (lui) mi (apre) il paradiso"...
"L’AMANTE IMPAZIENTE (ARIETTA BUFFA)"...
I was impatient as well- I could not wait to go to the concert and did not sleep almost two days! But as impatient as a lover, I did not feel yet
"BEATO QUEI CHE FIDO AMOR"... As if he knew what one might think so as he made the programme of the concert...
"ICH LIEBE DICH”... followed by...
"DER ENGEL"... I also know an angel, a human angel who stood there singing, enchanting our hearts and our minds ... Also, I remembered my childhood; I was a devil so unbridled, even if there was an angel beside me, I do not think that it could have the courage to introduce itself to me
"O, QUAND JE DORS"... Followed by...
"ZUEIGNUNG”...
------
THE PROGRAMME; PART II
------
"MAI"... Followed by...
"CHANSON D'AMOUR"... I liked this mélodie since the day it was posted to YouTube... A melody that gives birth so many emotions, so many thoughts inside of me...
"APRES UN REVE”... I could not manage any more... The tears flowed and my heart also cried tears of blood, sweet, bitter, full of love, pain...
Then, it follow the mélodies "LA LUNE BLANCHE", "LE SECRET", "MANDOLINES, " "HYMNE A LA NUIT", "A La Madone", "INVICATION" and "REINE DU MATIN”...
The Maestro gave us three encores... "LA DONNA È MOBILE", "'A VUCCHELLA" and "POUR MON AME".
------
EPILOGUE
------
After the concert, we had an autograph session... And I had the honour to shake the hand of the Maestro thanking him from my heart...
Returning to the hotel, I wrote the first words in the forum and promised to tell more about it and here we go...
With affection,

EgyptianFan (Bocellino da piccolo, Bocellino per sempre)

EPILOGUE II
------
I had to shorten the text because it was very long - I think that it doesn’t interest so much how I felt during the concert...
